Clan WolfPack -
September 10th - 2 games of DM3 - 76-58 EDK
Finally played clan WolfPack in an intersting
but mostly straight forward Genocide match. Lost the first match with some
heavy Packet Loss for some by 21-36 and after a change of server won the
second 55-22 to win the Genocide Match 76-58. A pretty Close game...
Clan SeismicForce
- September 4th - 2 games of DM3 - EDK Won
Nothing to say (I think).
Clan WD - September
5rd - 2 games of DM3 - EDK Lost
Played Clan WD, that was fun. I actually
had a good connection and enjoyed getting my butt beat by the best with
out any lag to get in the way. once they had control...the game and match
was pretty much over.
Clan Cote - September
3rd - 2 games of DM3 - EDK Lost
Played Clan COTE in a very heated match
(for us anyway) that was filled with trash talk from both sides...bad.
Couldn't agree on a server for what seemed like forever...found one everyone
could agree on and got on. We compromised a good server connection in an
effort to get the show on the road, big mistake....lesson learned. We lost
both games and the match, live and learn.
Clan GEC -September
2nd - 2 games of DM3 - 129-67
Yet another strange genocide match (which
one isn't?). The first game went terrible with one of the GEC dudes dropping
and someone having to replace him. On top of that I was having the worst
case of lockups and lag ever. So we lose the first game 39-48, I reconnect
(Different ISP), and everyone ready's up. I get a TON of lag (blue bars)
right before the start and some bad lockups during the game (but not as
bad as the first game). Then like a few minutes into the match one of the
GEC dudes start calling for a change of server...the general rule I've
always followed was that once a match has started, to just play thru it.
To make matters even weirder, one of the dudes said one of our guys popped
in right before the game started and type cl_playmip (which everyone saw
because it was the wrong syntax) and that caused/started all the lag (gl_playermip
is the correct syntax and it's a GL command...We all use GL in EDK). When
I tried to explain all this he cried be and when I was in the channel further
explaining with url's and pasted text he wanted to kick me from the #clan_GEC
channel. I was just trying to defend myself and EDK's win. I do understand
where GEC was coming from but they should not have readied up if they wanted
to change servers.
Clan Desecration -August
28th - 2 games of DM3 - 131-81
The Clan Descration Genocide Match was
won by EDK 131-81. This was rescheduled because we couldn't agree on a
server to play amd almost was a second time...very frustrating.
Clan On a Stick -August
27th - 2 games of DM3 - 70-99
The OAS match was another joke...won the
first game at like 63-23, switched servers for the second were I timed
out and couldn't reconnect and Raider also got booted for an extended amount
of time. We lost so bad in the second that we lost the match (7-76). No
Comment.
Clan Legacy -August
27th - 2 games of DM3 - 38-146
Clan Legacy was a 146-38 lose with some
of the most craziest connection problems I've EVER seen. I could'nt get
a connection that wasn't timing out and 2 folks in the game had to both
reconnect at least once just in game one. We got it straight for the second
game but still lost the match
Clan Quest -August
26th - 2 games of DM3 - 122-85
Interesting match...took the first game
100-18 and lost the second 22-67 by experimenting a little with positions.
Lost Cause -August
21st - 2 games of DM3 - 49-76
Lost Cause handed us another Genocide
loss. In the first game, [EDK]Mindfazr got dropped/timed out in the first
minute of play that cause the next 13minutes to basically be a 3v4 (again!).
Lost Cause took the second game to take the match.
Clan Quest -August
12th - 2 games of DM3 - 72/60
Finally got with Quest and got this match
put together on the fly. A very close match. The second match was plagued
with lag and timeouts. Mindfazr was dropped and Raider was having crazy
timeouts. The lag was so bad (how bad was it!...) that Spitfire and Vertigo
couldn't come in because of 400+ pings. Quest did a good job and were real
good sports when we were trying to get everyone together (it took us about
30-40 minutes to find a server and get everyone together)...only switch
servers once...final score was 72-60 EDK
Lost Army -August
11th - 2 games of DM3 - 139/27
Forth Match was plagued with server switching
(3 times!) and waiting 2 hours for the first game to get started. This
looks to be the last LostArmy [LA] game since the next day their web site
said they disbanned. Bottom line was a 139/27 victory
PhoneJack Division of
Lagitius -August 7th - 2 games of DM3 - EDK 107/58
Third genocide match we were victorous
over The PhoneJack Devision of Lagitus 107/58. I would like to take this
time to thank lockness for working with us on scheduling the match since
it was moved back and forth a couple of time before actually settling on
today and for also understanding some connection issues we worked though
between the first and second match.
Legions of Death
- August 5th - 1(!) game of DM3 - LoD 68/32
This match was a scanalous match in the
fact that LoD wouldn't play us in a second game to finish the match. Here's
how I saw it. Towards the end of the match (last 7 minutes)we finally got
control and weren't giving it up. So the match ends and all the LoD guys
take off...little did we know that the rule of playing 2 games and adding
the scores up only applied to the last genocide tourney. No where in the
rules does it say there is a min or max on the number of levels played.
LoD were less than sportsman like...and so that they didn't feel lonely,
we started showing our unsportsman like side too. We felt like they were
blowing us off, said somethings we probably shouldn't of...I got kick/banned
from the #lod channel and that about did it. What started as a misunderstandinging
the rules got blown out of proportion. A very ugly match.
Onastick - August
1st - 2 games of DM3 - OAS 158/41
First Genocide Match:Out of all the matches
that needed to go smoothly from a mechanical stand point, our first genocide
match crashed and burn. Or I should say my ISP crashed and burn. At first
I thought it was something on my end
that was causing my connection to lock up everytime I ran into
someone. Then right afterthe second game started everyone that was on the
vnet ISP was dropped....crazy.Needless
to say the match didn't go well. OnaStick played well and I congratulate
them.
I just wish we had been more succesful
from a connection standpoint.
